Flowyo will provide students with the foundation and the tools to teach others how to move their bodies through a Vinyasa Yoga practice in an empowering, supportive, safe, and loving way.
Our teaching philosophy is to connect with students on a physical, mental, and emotional level. By understanding breath and the physical asanas of yoga, students gain credibility and trust. We teach student to lead a mindful, well balanced, and safe sequencing style that is focused on alignment. Students will earn their 200 hour RYT accredited with Yoga Alliance. See events page for upcoming training dates and schedules.
Become a Yoga Teacher to help others on their own journeys or to deepen your own personal practice. The Flowyo Teacher Training Program will prepare students to lead group classes, increase their knowledge on asanas, pranayama, yoga history, anatomy, and the art of touch. This program is Yoga Alliance Certified.

Do you enjoy yoga, but in the comfort of your own home? Or do you need additional help in perfecting your postures? Amanda is able to bring the Flowyo Vinyasa experience to you at your convenience.
Amanda now offers private virtual yoga sessions via FaceTime, Skype or Zoom. Get one-on-one lessons from a distance and choose from yin or vinyasa style.
Who I Am
The moment I found yoga, I began transforming into the person I am today. On the mat I learned how to love myself and others. Then suddenly it became obvious that I needed to transcend the unhealthy habits, relationships, and career path that previously defined me.
In 2009 I received my 200-hour Teacher Training from Yoga South in Boca Raton. It was here that I gained the foundation of alignment, sequencing, and adjustments that are staples of my teaching style. Later, I received a Yin Teacher certification from Little Ocean Yoga in Jupiter. Today, I continue to practice with mentors regularly because I understand that an exceptional teacher must also be a devoted student.
How I Teach
I’m hands-on and I love to challenge students. When I’m not teaching yin, I generally guide a physically demanding, yet intuitive vinyasa flow that connects the body to the breath, mind and spirit. I encourage students to stay present through each posture and go inward to examine their self-limiting thoughts.
I believe our realities are shaped by our thoughts. And if we can rewire them to be more open, loving and forgiving, we can create healthier bodies and minds.
I believe adjustments are another way to inspire students to go inward by helping them stretch beyond self-imposed limitations.
I hope to challenge students’ perceptions on the mat so they may see life off the mat differently. Of course, always with love, patience and encouragement.

"I am a former military veteran and business professional who attended Amanda White’s FlowYo Yoga Teacher Training (TT) during the first half of 2020. Amanda’s course of instruction elevated my practice to an entire new level! I never realized just how far off I was in my yoga practice until I went through her TT course.
Amanda explained every pose in such a friendly & meticulous way that our experienced & inexperienced students both appreciated on such different levels. She created an inviting atmosphere that bonded the class as a tribe whom I now consider family. I am so thankful for my improved understanding of yogic principles, the Asanas, and what it truly means to be a Yogi as a result of Amanda’s teacher training. I am forever grateful for her tutelage and will pass the skills she gave me onto Yogis for years to come. Namaste."
JASON, FLOWYO YTT GRADUATE
"After going through Amanda's teacher training program, I have a different perspective on how to deal with my thoughts and feelings. By developing mindfulness through Amanda’s training, I realized how important it is to be present in every moment and with every one in my life.
Additionally, Amanda gave me the tools to teach, cue and assist with confidence. From day one, she created a safe space to practice leading sun salutations. She taught me and the class how to use creative, clear,, and engaging cues that can help students get deeper into poses. And she led us through several exercises to help figure out our individual visions for teaching.
Before I met Amanda, I took maybe 10 yoga classes and was not initially prepared to complete the required practice hours. I would get frustrated in class and I wanted to give up, but by week 4 I was hooked. I started to feel light, focused and even keeled after class. Now I wouldn’t go a day without getting on my mat."
JACQUELINE, FLOWYO YTT GRADUATE
“I spent a fair amount of time looking for a yoga teacher training (YTT) and choosing one can be so very unnerving. Without a doubt, Amanda’s Flowyo YTT is one of the most comprehensive programs intended to help you grow as a yoga teacher and a student.
During our training, we learned from different guest teachers Amanda invited to the class. Not only that but she also taught us how to align, which is a game-changer for your practice! The work on asanas, benefits, and alignment is all there, along with the guidance and instruction on how to be an outstanding teacher and a good yogi on and off the mat.
This was an amazing journey. I learned and grew so much and accomplished something I never thought possible. And now I can teach yoga with confidence. That is all in thanks to my wonderful teacher, Amanda, and her Flowyo YTT."
NAT, FLOWYO YTT GRADUATE
"The perfect alignment of two of south Florida's most established and respected yoga teachers – Shay Palmer and Amanda White – was a wonderful opportunity to embark upon my teacher training journey. The Mission Yoga 200-hour program provided us with a varied and intensive ten-week program that fully prepared our group to be an asset to the yoga community.
This program builds on the vast and varied expertise of the teaching leaders, but also brings in professionals in specific fields like breath work, anatomy, the chakras, and aromatherapy to deepen the knowledge base. This, along with the grounding in key elements of yoga philosophy, provides space to explore areas that speak to you, your yoga practice, and the unique teacher you envision becoming.
Provided you embrace the work, at the end of this program you will have harnessed the ability to confidently, safely, and proficiently craft and deliver a varied 60-minute yoga class to practitioners of all abilities. You will have the ability to spot key misalignments in poses, offer modifications and deeper expressions where necessary, and deliver safe and accurate hands-on assists to students.
I have learned from the finest teachers and have benefited greatly from how their individual approaches and styles were blended into a fun, coherent, and exhilarating program. I feel confident and assured entering the world of teaching this practice and have learned so much about myself along the way. It's the best investment in myself I've made in a decade. Do it."
CHRIS, FLOWYO YTT GRADUATE
"I’ve done 5 retreats with Amanda and each one is a full-on pleasure, every location, and every group. Must be that Amanda's positive and capable energy gives a confidence to join in and become a welcomed part of her group. She attracts positivity! I’ve made good friends on her trips who began as strangers. There are no strangers in her groups! A friend from another state, with limited yoga experience, joined this last group in Utah, knowing only me, and she felt the welcoming vibe of the group in every way! And loved it!
The locations are amazing, the activities are designed for everyone’s comfort level, and there are options and flexibility to go with the FLOW or hang back and get some personal space. The accommodations at each venue vary, according to the best value. I always have what I need and want. The food is always wonderful and plentiful. She works with top-notch hosts and the FUN FACTOR!
As a yoga enthusiast in my later 60s, this is the perfect way for me to do ‘my own thing’,
as Amanda's retreats always become a wonderful blend of activity and personality.
You will make wonderful memories on these retreats! I can’t say enough about how these retreats with Amanda and her fellow travelers have added to my life."
POLLY, UTAH RETREAT GUEST
"Took a chance, and beyond glad that I did! I’m not a yogi nor would my first choice of what to do today be a hike, but 5 days in Utah with Amanda White of Flowyo Yoga Retreat were non-stop of both and, putting it mildly, amazing.
As I was the only retreat member from outside of the Ft. Lauderdale area, the first meeting with the group was at the destination airport. Everyone was warm and welcoming and it didn’t take long to realize that Amanda naturally attracts good people.
The house in which we stayed together with the amenities, meals, service, and transportation met and exceeded that of any 5-star accommodations. All of this and we had access to ‘available by Lottery only’ trails. An itinerary was provided, but was subject to change should the group elect. Yoga began the day preparing us for the spectacular trails ahead. An all-encompassing journey of mind, body, and soul.
As a very discerning traveler, I look forward to embarking on many future journeys with Flowyo Yoga Retreat. I truly had a magnificent time!"
DONNA, UTAH RETREAT GUEST
"Thank you so much, Amanda, for the Amazing time in Utah at the Zion Retreat!
It was my first-ever retreat and I am really looking forward to the many more that I am planning on attending with you. I couldn’t have asked for a nicer experience.
When returning to the normal world I was relaxed, refreshed, and energized. Having everything organized for me gave me the time to enjoy, completely relax, and immerse myself in yoga and nature. Thank you again and looking forward to our next adventure!"
